Dahua CCTV works alongside compatible Dahua alarm systems and the Dahua video doorbell through the DMSS app, one place to view live cameras, receive alerts, review recorded footage and answer the doorbell remotely, rather than three separate apps for three separate devices.

Five cameras across three tiers. Entry cameras record and detect with no active deterrence. TiOC Lite cameras add two-way audio and vehicle classification alongside human detection. TiOC Pro adds active deterrence, strobe lights, a siren and customisable voice prompts, on top of everything TiOC Lite offers. Two of the three tiers come in a choice of 6MP or 8MP.

For most standard domestic installs, driveways, entrances, garages, perimeter coverage, where the requirement is clear recorded evidence, the entry-tier cameras are the logical starting point, 6MP or 8MP where the extra resolution justifies the cost. Where two-way audio matters, addressing a delivery driver or a visitor at a gate, step up to a TiOC Lite. Where active deterrence is needed at a specific location, a vehicle gate, car park entrance, loading bay, or a corner with a history of unwanted visitors, the TiOC Pro is currently the only camera in the range that delivers it.

Two NVR ranges pair with the Dahua camera range, Eagle AI NVRs and native Dahua WizSense NVRs. Both support PoE cameras directly, no separate switch required, but they're built for different scales of install.

If the install is Dahua cameras only and standard 4K recording, the Eagle NVRs are the simpler, currently better-priced option. If the job needs to record cameras above 4K, or needs to mix in cameras from another brand already on site, the native Dahua NVRs support a wider range of third-party equipment and higher resolutions.

A Dahua IP 4-camera CCTV kit is stocked with a 2TB hard drive pre-installed: four entry-level 6MP cameras (DH-IPC-HDW1639T-A-IL, White finish), four RING-J2 camera bases, an Eagle 4-channel NVR, four 25m Cat6 leads and 2TB of storage in a single order, no separate hard drive, cable or mounting hardware purchase required. A no-HDD version of the same kit is also stocked for installers supplying their own storage or specifying capacity themselves. Ask at the Peterlee trade counter for kit pricing.

All Dahua cameras at Harbro run over Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet using PoE (802.3af). A single cable carries power and video from the NVR to each camera, maximum run length approximately 100m, no coaxial cable required. Use a RING-J2 Junction Box at each camera position for a weatherproof cable entry.

Dahua cameras and NVRs work with the DMSS mobile app (iOS and Android) for remote live viewing and recording playback, no subscription required for basic remote access. H.265+ compression on all five camera models cuts storage usage by roughly 50 to 70% versus H.264 at equivalent resolution, extending the effective capacity of the 2TB hard drive significantly.
