Different pendants in the Harbro Lighting range use different lamp types. The Devine collection uses E14 lamps (LED Candle C35 recommended). The Melville and Byrne use G9 bi-pin lamps (LED Capsule G9 recommended). The Ursem uses E27 lamps (LED GLS A60 or Candle C35). All are LED-compatible and energy-rated A++ to D. Yes, all Harbro Lighting pendants are designed for use with LED lamps. The Melville and Byrne takeG9 LED capsule lamps, which are a direct halogen replacement requiring no rewiring. The Devine accepts E14 LED candle lamps, and the Ursem takes E27 LED lamps. We stock all compatible lamp types at Harbro Electrical.

Each collection has a distinct character. The Devineis a crystal chandelier with E14 lamps, available as a linear (1m+) or round (80cm) design in chrome or gold, ideal for grand formal spaces. The Melvilleis a circular brass pendant with 10 G9 lamps, offering a warm luxurious glow. The Byrneis a compact chrome and crystal wall or ceiling fitting with 4 G9 lamps, suited to almost any room. The Ursemis a bold 1184mm linear E27 pendant in matt black with crystal sand glass, designed as a dramatic contemporary statement.

Yes. The Byrne Wall / Ceiling Light is designed for both wall and ceiling installation. It comes with fittings for both mounting types and operates at IP20, making it suitable for general indoor use in living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms. The 340mm diameter and 200mm height make it a compact but eye-catching fitting regardless of where it is mounted.

What is the maximum drop length on the Melville pendant?
The Melville pendant has an adjustable drop from a minimum of 400mm to a maximum of 1690mm. This makes it suitable for a wide range of ceiling heights including standard 2.4m residential ceilings and taller statement rooms. The pendant is 400mm in diameter and weighs 10.4kg, so a suitable ceiling rose and earth connection are required for installation.

The Devine and Ursem collections are dimmable when used with suitable dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer switch (dimmer not included).
