Choosing a home EV charger
Our home and workplace chargers come from FastAmps, Sync EV, Ohme and Project EV. Most charge at up to 7.4kW (32A).
Tethered or untethered?
A tethered charger has its charging cable attached. Ours come with 5m or 7.5m cables. An untethered charger has a socket instead, and you plug in your own cable. Untethered units look neater on the wall; tethered units save you getting the cable out of the boot.
Smart features
The FastAmps Alpha7 connects over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Ethernet and supports solar charging. The Sync EV Wall Charger 2 connects over Wi-Fi and LAN. The Ohme ePod (untethered) and Ohme Home Pro (tethered, 5m cable) are 7.4kW smart chargers. The Project EV APEX-07S Pro Earth is rated at 7.3kW.
Installation
A home EV charger must be installed by a qualified electrician. Electricians can collect chargers from our Peterlee trade counter.

Should I choose a tethered or untethered EV charger?
A tethered charger has the cable attached, so you just plug it into the car. An untethered charger has a socket, and you use your own cable. We stock both.
Can I collect my order instead?
Yes. Trade and retail customers can collect from our trade counter at 5 & 6 Whitworth Road, Peterlee, SR8 2LY. Call 0191 5181998 to check stock before you travel.
