Silicone & Sealant

(18 products)

CT1 is a hybrid sealant and construction adhesive that bonds and seals in one cartridge, replacing standard silicone, acrylic and many polyurethane adhesives across almost any substrate.

Harbro Electrical stocks the CT1 range at trade prices, in stock at our Peterlee trade counter and ready for UK mainland delivery. CT1 Sealant & Adhesive 290ml is available in nine colours (Clear, White, Silver, Grey, Black, Anthracite, Oak, Beige and Brown), with 6-pack and 12-pack trade quantities also in stock. Not sure whether you need CT1 itself or one of the wider range? See our full CT1 buying guide for the complete breakdown.

Alongside the original sealant, this range covers BT1 (Clear) and BT1 (White) for bathroom and sanitary work, FC1 Decorators Caulk for pre-paint joint filling, Peel Tec for stripping old paint and cured sealant, MultiSolve for surface prep and joint tooling, and Power Grab 'N' Bond for heavy-duty structural bonding.

Which product do you need?

This range covers six different jobs under one roof: general sealing and bonding, sanitary sealing, decorating, paint stripping, surface prep, and heavy-duty adhesive. If you already know CT1 is what you're after, refer to the grid above. If you're not sure, here's what separates them.

CT1 Sealant & Adhesive

The universal choice, and the one to reach for unless one of the cases below applies to you. One 290ml cartridge bonds and seals across virtually any substrate - metal, glass, wood, MDF, concrete, most stone and most plastics - without primers or mechanical fixings. It cures in wet conditions and underwater, won't shrink or crack over time, and can be over-painted once fully cured. Available in nine colours: Clear, White, Silver, Grey, Black, Anthracite, Oak, Beige and Brown.

BT1

The sanitary version of the same TRIBRID technology, built specifically for bathrooms, kitchens and any wet area where hygiene matters. It's independently tested to reduce bacteria on the joint surface by up to 99.99%, which is what stops a bathroom seal going black over time, and it's ETAG022 approved for bonding shower panels to the wall without mechanical fixings. Use CT1 for everything else in a bathroom - mounting a mirror, sealing a back box, fixing a panel - and BT1 for the sanitary bead itself. Available in Clear and White.

FC1 Decorators Caulk

A different chemistry to CT1 and BT1. FC1 Decorators Caulk is an acrylic elastomer rather than TRIBRID polymer, built for pre-paint decorating work rather than structural bonding. It fills gaps up to 25mm in a single pass without slumping or shrinking, stays permanently flexible so it won't crack at movement joints, and is paintable with water-based paints in as little as an hour. Use it for skirting, architrave, coving and window sills - not for wet areas; BT1 is the right product there.

Peel Tec

A 500ml paint and sealant remover - not a sealant itself, but the product you'll want alongside CT1 or BT1 if you're working over an old, failed joint. Spray it on, leave it around 10 minutes, and cured silicone, old paint, varnish and polyurethane finishes lift away cleanly without damaging the substrate underneath. Methyl Chloride free, so safer to use indoors than older strippers.

MultiSolve

The surface-prep and tooling product for the rest of the range. Use MultiSolve before applying CT1 or BT1 to degrease the joint faces - grease and old residue will stop either product bonding properly - and use it again straight after applying the bead; a light coat stops the fresh sealant sticking to whatever you're shaping it with. Available in a 200ml site-bag size and a 500ml size for workshop or regular use.

Power Grab 'N' Bond

Built on the same TRIBRID chemistry as CT1 but formulated denser, for heavy-duty structural bonding rather than general sealing. Originally developed for facade bonding, Power Grab 'N' Bond gives a stronger initial grab and faster handling strength, cutting labour time on jobs where you'd otherwise need mechanical fixings. Reach for this over standard CT1 when the bond itself is the job, not just the seal.

Still not sure? The full CT1 buying guide covers the complete comparison against standard silicone.

You might also need

A few closely related C-Tec products sit outside the core CT1 range but come up on the same jobs. BW1 Waterproofing & Tanking Membrane is worth adding to a BT1 order when you're tanking a shower or wet room before tiling. FC1 Ultimate Patch and Fill handles larger fill jobs and deep gaps, where FC1 Decorators Caulk is built for finer pre-paint joints. And if you need an instant bond on porous materials rather than a flexible sealant, the Superfast Plus range is a separate fast-cure adhesive, also stocked at the trade counter. All three are in our full silicone and sealant collection.

CT1 Sealants: frequently asked questions

Which CT1 colour should I choose?

CT1 comes in nine colours: Clear, White, Silver, Grey, Black, Anthracite, Oak, Beige and Brown. Match the cartridge to the surface or trim you're sealing for the closest finish, or choose Clear as the most versatile option if the joint will be painted over or you want the substrate to show through.

What's the difference between the single cartridge, the 6-pack and the 12-pack?

No difference in the product itself, just quantity. The 6-pack and 12-pack are trade bulk-buy quantities of the same CT1 Sealant & Adhesive 290ml, available in the same nine colours. For orders larger than a 12-pack, get in touch with the trade counter for a bulk quote.

Why isn't the CT1 Superfast glue in this range?

Superfast Plus and Superfast Superglue carry the CT1 name but they're a different chemistry - cyanoacrylate rather than TRIBRID polymer - built for instant bonding on porous materials rather than flexible sealing. If that's what you're after, see the full Silicone & Sealant collection.

Do I need a trade account to get these prices?

All prices shown already exclude VAT. You don't need an account to order online. If you're a regular trade buyer, setting up a trade account gets you invoiced pricing and terms rather than paying at checkout each time - call the trade counter to set one up.

Can I collect the same day from the Peterlee trade counter?

Yes. The full CT1 range is held in stock at our Whitworth Road trade counter - not ordered in - so it's available for same-day collection during opening hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 5pm, Friday 7:30am to 4pm, Saturday 8:30am to 12:30pm.

Do I need MultiSolve alongside my CT1 or BT1 order?

It's not compulsory but it's worth adding to the order. MultiSolve degreases the surface before you apply CT1 or BT1 so the bond isn't compromised by grease or old residue, and it stops the fresh sealant sticking to your tool while you shape the joint.

What's the difference between Peel Tec and MultiSolve?

They do different jobs. Peel Tec strips old cured sealant, paint and varnish - spray it on, leave it around 10 minutes, then scrape off. MultiSolve degreases a surface before you apply a new joint and helps tool a fresh one cleanly. It isn't a stripper for old, cured material.

What's the difference between CT1 and Power Grab 'N' Bond?

Both use the same TRIBRID technology, but Power Grab 'N' Bond is a denser formulation built for heavy-duty structural bonding - originally developed for facade bonding - with a stronger initial grab. CT1 is the general-purpose choice for everyday sealing and bonding. Reach for Power Grab 'N' Bond when the job is heavier-duty fixing work.
