Emergency battens are LED batten fittings with integrated battery backup, designed to provide a minimum of three hours of maintained escape lighting in the event of mains supply failure - a mandatory requirement under BS 5266 for non-domestic premises. At Harbro Electrical, we stock LED emergency battens in maintained and non-maintained configurations, covering standard and high-output versions in 4ft (1200mm) and 5ft (1500mm) lengths for corridors, stairwells, plant rooms, and retail units.
