Besides intruders, inclement weather can interfere with the regular operation of the detector. Snow may stick to anti-masking sensors, block their field of view, and cause a false alarm. The hood protects the MotionProtect Outdoor during a snowfall. Extended exposure to heavy rain may also create interference, again the hood protects the MotionProtect Outdoor during thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. The hood is easily attached with no need to remove the detector from where it is attached.
